SAN DIEGO — DDC Solutions, part of the Daikin Applied group, has opened an Artificial Intelligence Cooling Showcase at the ScaleMatrix data center in San Diego, where customers can observe an integrated cooling system operating under live, high-density GPU workloads.

According to DDC Solutions, the facility combines Daikin Applied's facility-level chiller infrastructure, DDC Solutions' rack containment and airside thermal management, and Chilldyne's direct-to-chip liquid cooling technologies into a single operating environment.

Unlike a demonstration system, the showcase operates under active customer workloads. Cirrascale Cloud Services runs live artificial intelligence applications on the infrastructure, allowing visitors to evaluate cooling performance under real operating conditions.

The integrated system is designed to address thermal management from the facility level to individual processors. Daikin Applied provides chiller infrastructure for the facility, while DDC Solutions manages rack containment, airside thermal management, fire suppression, and data center infrastructure management monitoring. Chilldyne's direct-to-chip liquid cooling captures heat generated by graphics processing units.
