Women in HVACR Seeks 2027 Board of Directors Nominations

The organization’s nominating committee will review candidates before interviews in October and a board vote in November 2026.

TALLAHASSEE, Florida — Women in HVACR (WHVACR) is accepting nominations for its 2027 board of directors.

The nonprofit organization is seeking experienced HVACR leaders who can help guide its strategic direction and support its mission of empowering women in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration trades.

Members must submit nominations by Wednesday, Sept. 16. Self-nominations are accepted.

WHVACR is seeking candidates with experience in several areas, including strategic leadership, HVACR industry leadership, governance, financial oversight, fundraising, outreach, collaboration, and mentorship.

Candidates for the board should have at least five years of leadership experience in the HVACR industry. The organization also is seeking candidates with knowledge of nonprofit governance, fiduciary responsibilities, financial statements, budgets, bylaws, and compliance.

Board members serve three-year terms. Following the nomination deadline, WHVACR’s nominating committee will review applications and conduct candidate interviews in early October.

Final selections will be determined through a board vote in November 2026.

WHVACR has more than 1,200 members and provides networking, education, mentorship, scholarships, and regional and national events for women pursuing careers in HVACR.
