In an effort to help the next generation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians launch and advance their careers, hilmor® is again sponsoring the "Retool Your Future" Essay Contest.
Now in its fifth consecutive year, hilmor created this scholarship contest to address the high cost of a solid HVACR education, and the need for skilled technicians in the field, in hopes of encouraging people to pursue a career in the industry.

Winners of the Contest will receive:
$5,000 scholarship awarded to the HVAC/R school directly on the Winner’s behalf

AHR EXPO® 2018 Prize Package – Travel to the world’s largest HVACR show in Chicago and participation in show activities, including a roundtable conversation in the hilmor booth on January 22nd
hilmor Green Wall – Merchandising wall featuring exclusive new hilmor tools donated directly to Winner’s HVACR school
To enter the Contest, you must be currently enrolled in or have been accepted for admission at an established, recognized HVAC/R program and meet other eligibility requirements. Contest entrants must submit a personally written 250-word essay including how the HVAC/R industry is “retooling their life.” Representatives from hilmor and its affiliated Contest partners will judge the essays and select the six winners. To date, the Retool Your Future scholarship contests have generated interest from over 850 trade schools, selected 21 winners from over 2,000 essay submissions and awarded $120K in scholarship money.
