Carrier introduced the AquaEdge 30CF, an air-cooled centrifugal chiller designed to maintain continuous cooling and protect uptime for data center operations. The chiller expands Carrier QuantumLeap, the company’s portfolio of integrated thermal management solutions for data centers.

The AquaEdge 30CF supports predictable cooling under changing ambient and load conditions, helping operators protect critical infrastructure. Key features include:

  • Wide Operating Range: Maintains cooling across –20°F to 140°F ambient temperatures;

  • High Cooling Capacity: Delivers more than 3 MW depending on ambient conditions; and

  • Rapid Recovery: Restores 100% cooling capacity in under three minutes after a power interruption.

The chiller uses Carrier’s two-stage, back-to-back centrifugal compressor with magnetic bearing technology, the same oil-free architecture in the AquaEdge 19MV water-cooled chiller. This design supports:

  • Reduced maintenance and lifecycle risk;

  • High efficiency under varying load conditions; and

  • Long-term reliability for mission-critical applications.

Carrier QuantumLeap connects chillers, controls, and services to operate as an integrated system rather than standalone equipment. This approach provides centralized monitoring and control across the facility, as well as supports scalable deployment of data center infrastructure. It also reduces operational risk and simplifies management for operators.

Carrier’s expanded chiller manufacturing capacity helps customers deploy AquaEdge 30CF units more quickly while mitigating supply chain and deployment risks.For more information about Carrier QuantumLeap and AquaEdge 30CF, visit www.carrier.com/datacenters.
