Greenheck Releases RT-20 Rooftop Unit with Inverter Scroll Compressors
Greenheck has expanded its rooftop unit (RTU) lineup with the introduction of the RT-20, its smallest packaged unit designed for light commercial applications.
The RT-20 delivers 3 to 5 tons of packaged direct expansion (DX) cooling, making it suitable for spaces that require consistent temperature and humidity control. The unit also provides 500 to 2,000 cubic feet per minute (cfm) of airflow and up to 175 mbh of indirect gas heating.
Key Features and Specifications:
- Cooling capacity: 3–5 tons of packaged DX cooling;
- Airflow range: 500–2,000 cfm;
- Heating capacity: Up to 175 mbh indirect gas heating;
- Inverter scroll compressors for improved efficiency at part-load conditions;
- Modulating indirect gas furnace for tighter temperature control;
- Direct drive supply and exhaust fans with modulation for variable air volume (VAV) systems; and
- Electronically commutated (EC) condenser fan motors that modulate to control head pressure and reduce energy use
The RT-20 is designed to support precise control of temperature and humidity, which is critical in environments such as retail spaces, classrooms, and small commercial buildings.
This model joins Greenheck’s RT series, including Models RT-40, RT-70, and RT-120, which collectively deliver up to 13,000 cfm across the product line.
