Bosch Announces IDS Edge Heat Pump with Multi-Zone Compatibility
Bosch introduced the IDS Edge, an inverter ducted split heat pump designed to support both single- and multi-zone residential applications using a variable refrigerant flow (VRF)-based platform.
The system delivers up to 19 SEER2 (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio 2) and 10.8 HSPF2 (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor 2), with configurations available in Edge and Edge Max models to support cold-climate heating performance.

The IDS Edge platform is designed to support flexible system configurations while maintaining straightforward installation across a range of residential applications. It is compatible with standard 24V thermostats, and pairs with IDS Premium air handlers, cased coils, and furnaces for single-zone installations. IDS Edge is designed for retrofit and new construction projects.
The product also features corrosion-resistant coil coatings to support long-term operation; self-cleaning condenser fan operation; a heated base pan for cold-weather operation; and built-in fault prevention diagnostics.
The system is engineered to deliver consistent heating and cooling performance, including in cold-climate conditions, while supporting long service life in varying environmental conditions.
