DiversiTech Partners with Respiro on Carbon Monoxide Shutoff Technology
DiversiTech Corporation announced an exclusive North American partnership with Respiro USA to distribute the CO/PRO Carbon Monoxide Shutoff Switch. The partnership brings the carbon monoxide safety technology to professional HVACR distribution channels.
CO/PRO is designed for fuel-burning furnaces and water heaters. The device uses two independent sensors to continuously monitor carbon monoxide (CO) levels in two locations.
One sensor monitors the HVAC supply duct. The other monitors the air surrounding the appliance and venting system. When the sensors detect elevated CO levels, CO/PRO automatically interrupts power to the connected equipment. This stops further production of the gas.
The technology takes a different approach from traditional carbon monoxide alarms. Standard alarms notify occupants after CO has entered the living space. CO/PRO is designed to detect elevated levels closer to the source and stop additional production before the gas migrates through the home.
The partnership also expands DiversiTech's indoor air quality and safety product portfolio.
