Since May, 2009, when Hill PHOENIX acquired Tyler Refrigeration, its been expanding its network, adding dealers that had been affiliated with Tyler and expanding coverage in the U.S. and globally. Now the division has grown from 20 to 47 U.S. dealers, with four in Canada, and four serving international customers.
Company sources say its long-term plan is to grow dealer sales in North America.
"Through our network of dealers and factory-owned branches, we now have about 1,800 service people covering North America. These representatives support Hill PHOENIX's equipment efforts nationally, through direct and indirect sales, installation, and service support," says Dave Tuttle, vice president, Hill PHOENIX Dealer Group.
Improves Walk-In Cooler Division
In other news, HIll PHOENIX reports it has improved its Walk-Ins Division. Its goal is to deliver innovative product designs and expand sales and service. Marion Brown, director of operations, says the improvements are based on feedback received from customers, managers, and employees.
Walk-in cooler product improvements will include:
- a unique floor screed with beveled edges and pre-drilled holes, to make installation easier
- a jam guard with no exposed fasteners
- a hinge that raises the door 3/4-in. to make it easier to open and close
- a patented panel joint that creates a vapor-proof sealed panel joint without using butyl.
Additionally, a construction services department will schedule and coordinate product installations and components, and a new, 100,000 sq. ft. facility will open in Georgia, operating under high manufacturing standards.
