Century Refrigeration Announces Price Increase
Century Refrigeration, Pryor, OK, announced it’s implementing a 2.5% price increase on all products, due to the industry-wide fluctuation of material and operating costs. Prices of commodities, such as copper and aluminum, have varied significantly throughout 2011 and into 2012, sources report. The latest price increase is smaller than in previous years, due to Century Refrigeration’s past efforts to reduce costs in other areas, with increased automation and updated tooling. Century Refrigeration reports it is also making advancements in greater overall product quality, and will be releasing a redesigned condensing unit. It recently released the new Centinel Intelligent defrost control system.

“We’re committed to keeping our customer’s total cost of ownership to a minimum,” says Kevin Trowhill, vice president, sales for Century Refrigeration. “Century equipment is designed to reduce installation, maintenance, and utility costs throughout the lifetime of the system. As we work harder to achieve this goal and to provide only the best systems to our customers, a price increase has been deemed necessary.”
