Service Experts Acquires A-Plus AC of Maryland

Oct. 2, 2014
Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning has acquired 38-year-old, Maryland-based A-Plus Air Conditioning & Heating Company, a residential HVAC contracting firm. With the purchase, Service Experts’ reach will expand into northeast Virginia and south central Maryland, which includes several of the region’s most densely populated areas.

Service Experts currently offers service in the Richmond (Eveready Service Experts) and Salem, Virginia markets and in Gaithersburg, MD (Parker-Pearce Service Experts), but there is no overlap with the A-Plus service area, which includes Montgomery, Prince George’s and Charles counties in Maryland, as well as Fairfax, Arlington, Prince William and Loudoun counties in Virginia.

“A-Plus represents a perfect compliment to the Service Experts business, both geographically and operationally,” says Scott J. Boxer, President and CEO of Service Experts. “We plan to expand and grow the center, as well as seek strategic growth opportunities through other business development initiatives and acquisitions that fit our core business model,” Boxer says.

Jay Stine, who has been with A-Plus since 1980, will manage the new location.  serviceexperts.com
