Mike Ilich, Jr. of Webb Supply sees increased contractor interest in ductless comfort products.

Among the final stops of the 60-city Samsung HVAC Roadshow was a visit to Webb Supply, which operates six locations across Northeast Ohio. The editorial office of ContractingBusiness.com is based in Cleveland, so we thought we'd drop by to have a look, and to give a listen to Samsung HVAC's message for contractors.

The Webb Supply Akron location was the venue, and a good number of contractors showed up for a series of two-hour presentations and tours that covered the various features and benefits of Samsung HVAC’s residential and commercial VRF products.

Webb Supply has been a Samsung HVAC dealer for two years, and Webb managers are pleased with the product’s capabilities and with the contractor interest they’ve seen.

“First, there’s the Samsung name.  Next, the steps Samsung takes to bring new technology to the HVAC industry is most appealing to Webb Supply, and contractors,” said Michael Ilich, Jr., marketing manager.

“Samsung has had the fastest product growth rate of any product we’ve brought on in the past six years,” Ilich said. “We see it growing exponentially, and with marketing support and other brand awareness activities from Samsung, we expect to see more growth.”

Illich said HVAC contractors also appreciate the products’ ease of installation, adaptability to different types of structural applications, and the design features of the various products that consumers gravitate towards. And there’s also the benefit of much helpful support provided by the Samsung team in Roanoke, Tex.
“Samsung has a lot of great technical support that trickles down to our contractors,” Ilich shared.

Webb Supply has gone so far as to build a VRF training center, to give contractors a helpful demonstrations of the many Samsung products, including the residential Whisper mini-split, the innovative 360 Cassette — the industry’s only circular air distribution unit — and the DVM-S and DVM-S Eco, for commercial applications.  SamsungHVAC.com
