Nu-Calgon In-line Treatment Neutralizes Condensate Water

Oct. 17, 2016
Since many communities have passed regulations banning the discharge of acidic condensate, the water must be neutralized prior to putting it in the drain.
Nu-Calgon has developed pH-TREAT™, an in-line treatment for neutralizing the condensate water produced by high efficiency furnaces, boilers and tankless water heaters.  pH-TREAT easily installs

on the drain line and uses specialized media to neutralize acid in the condensate water.

Since many communities have passed regulations banning the discharge of acidic condensate, the water must be neutralized prior to putting it in the drain. pH-TREAT raises the pH to near neutral and has a one-year expected service life.

Comprised of a 2.5-in. x 12-in. cartridge housing with 3/8-in. FPT connections, pH-TREAT also includes:

  • two 1/2-in.barb x 3/8-in. MPT fittings,
  • two 3/4-in. FPT x 3/8-in. MPT fittings
  • one C-clip for mounting.

pH-TREAT is designed for gravity feed and a temperature range of 40F to 100F.
