Maytag® heating and air conditioning introduced an all-new jacket design for their split-system air conditioners and heat pumps. The former, one-piece jacket designed has been reconfigured into a panelized design that allows for easy access to interior components.
“The jacket redesign is a positive change for contractors and homeowners alike,” says Tim Alford, product manager at Maytag HVAC. “Easily removable panels can reduce time on site and potentially save homeowners money.”
The new system exterior features:
- Access panels for faster, easier servicing.
- Redesigned top crown pan and corner posts.
- Extruded screw holes that hold the panels in place and prevent screw stripping.
- Extra holes in the base pan for better drainage.
Air conditioners and heat pumps that feature the new jacket design are light and compact, making them easier to transport and install.
The new design is available in all M1200 and M120 split-system air conditioners and heat pumps – 1.5 to 5 ton. For more information about dependable, Maytag® HVAC systems, visit maytaghvac.com.
