Combined with HomeServe’s existing HVAC business, the company will continue claiming a larger piece of the estimated $29 billion annual HVAC business opportunity in the U.S.

“Whether homes and communities are old or new, they all have one thing in common: the need for skilled and reliable tradespeople. That’s what the people of the D.C. area have gotten for 40 years from CroppMetcalfe. And that’s why we’re proud to have them join our company,” said John Kitzie, CEO of HomeServe North America. “As we explore opportunities to expand our home services business around the U.S., we’re laser focused on finding companies with business traits similar to CroppMetcalfe and the other high-quality, well-respected companies we have acquired to date.”

CroppMetcalfe is a nationally recognized, award winning company, and has been named the PHCC National and Virginia Contractor of the Year and Contracting Business Magazine’s Residential Contractor of the Year, an Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) Residential Contractor of the Year and won the Carrier President’s Award 12 years in a row.

“I’m proud to carry my father’s legacy forward and ensure that the company he started 40 years ago continues being a leader in this industry,” said Tim Cropp, General Manager of CroppMetcalfe. “With a workforce of more than 300 dedicated HVAC, plumbing, electrical & pest control techs, we’re excited to continue offering excellent service to our customers while growing throughout the region to help make our customers HomeServe’s customers.”

HomeServe has been serving customers in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area since 2009, where the company currently serves 165,000 homeowners with over 320,000 repair service plans.
