GreenHomes America, a national provider of Home Performance Contracting (HPC) services, recently signed franchise agreements with three HVAC companies: Auburn, ME, based Thayer Corporation; Long Island’s Master Mechanical; and Southeastern VA’s, Energy Efficient Solutions. The agreements will further the franchisees’ commitments to home energy efficiency by equipping them with GreenHomes America’s proven business model, including the use of a whole-home approach based on building science principles to lower homeowners’ energy bills by at least 25%.

“These companies have demonstrated great value to their customers by offering services and efficiency advice that extend far beyond what most HVAC companies offer,” said Brett Knox, president of GreenHomes America. “We look forward to helping them further their commitments to exceptional value-focused customer service by equipping them with the same strategic Home Performance services that have helped over 10,000 customers save money on their utility bills and improve their comfort.

Thayer Corporation

Thayer Corporation was founded in 1981 by Daniel and Richard Thayer, and was the 2003 ContractingBusiness.com magazine’s Commercial Contractor of the Year. The company was built on one primary core value, "to provide unparalleled customer service.” Because of the company’s commitment to customer service, within a short time Thayer Corporation emerged as one of the largest, most successful HVAC companies in the state of Maine. Currently owned and operated by Dan Thayer, the company serves the state with more than 50 employees and a fleet of over 40 service and installation vehicles dispatched from regional offices throughout Maine.

Master Mechanical

Founded in 1995, Farmingdale Long Island’s Master Mechanical specializes in comfortable, cost-effective solutions using a full range of HVAC services performed by factory-trained personnel. “As a company that is dedicated to offering the best service possible to our customers, it seemed natural to go with GreenHomes America,” said Master Mechanical principals Jamie and Joe Bonifazio. “They have a reputation as being an industry leader in Home Performance and have a proven track record. The fact that they have served over 10,000 customers nationwide speaks for itself.”

Energy Efficient Solutions

Chuck Worley, founder and owner of Energy Efficient Solutions, began his career as a sales professional in the HVACR industry. His success at delivering cost-effective and efficient heating and cooling solutions to his customers quickly earned him the distinction as the top sales professional in Hampton Roads, VA. Worley claims he owes his success to his “best value” strategy, which provides customers with tiered options for their heating and cooling needs. In 2001, Worley used his years of sales experience to form Energy Efficient Heating & Cooling with the goal of providing the very best in indoor comfort solutions to Peninsula home and business owners. To respond to increasing customer demand for increased services from their HVAC technicians, Worley renamed his company to form Energy Efficient Solutions in 2009 and has been delivering total home comfort solutions ever since.
