With more than 500 invited guests from across North America and Europe, Viessmann Manufacturing, Waterloo, Ontario, Canda, celebrated its silver anniversary in North America on April 6.
The celebration featured presentations by Dr. Martin Viessmann, chief executive officer and owner of the Viessmann Group, Dr. David Suzuki, award-winning scientist, environmentalist and broadcaster as the keynote speaker, and Harald Prell, general manager of Viessmann North America.
Prell thanked all Viessmann customers, industry partners and the Viessmann team. "Today is not only a celebration of the Viessmann success story in North America, but of what we have accomplished together as a team and as partners in the industry,” said Prell.
The event, "a celebration of the past, present and the future", included a picture display illustrating the evolution of Viessmann in North America, as well as a project showcase of current Viessmann installations across North America.
Also on display were current Viessmann products including solar systems and high-efficiency condensing boilers.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of new and future products.
With more high-efficiency condensing products and renewable energy systems, such as ground source heat pumps and solar systems, to come in the future, Viessmann underlined its commitment to the environment, the conservation of energy and product innovation.
At an open forum in the afternoon, Dr. Viessmann, Dr. Suzuki and Mr. Prell discussed issues concerning the industry and the environment, and answered questions from the audience.
"This event was a big success - not just for us, but our partners as well. Comments we received confirm that the displays, presentations and the forum were thought-provoking and inspiring", said Kenneth Webster, director of sales marketing.
Viessmann manufactures a comprehensive range of advanced heating products in 10 production locations worldwide. Annual sales are in excess of 1.2 billion (US$) with employment exceeding 6,800.
