    SRS Enterprises and R. Williamson & Assoc. win "Rep of the Year" Awards from Berner International

    March 8, 2018
    The 87-year-old R. Williamson & Associates earned its "Presidential Gold--Commission Reps" with several high profile projects. SRS Enterprises had a successful year with commercial retail, hotel and high end residential high rise building businesses.

    Berner International, LLC, New Castle, Pa., the leading U.S. manufacturer and innovator of air curtains, announced manufacturer representatives SRS Enterprises, Middletown, N.J., and R. Williamson & Associates LLC, Skokie, Ill., received the company's "Rep of the Year–2017" in the buy/resell and commission reps categories, respectively. The awards were presented at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo 2017) Jan. 22 in Chicago.

    Berner International also honored four other manufacturer's representative firms for outstanding 2017 sales achievements:

    • Silver Award Buy/Resell Rep—H.C. Nye Co. Inc., Harrisburg, Pa.;
    • Silver Award Commission Reps --S & J Equipment Co., Indianapolis, Ind.;
    • Bronze Award Buy/Resell –Bennet Holland & Associates, Dearborn Heights, Mich.;
    • Bronze Award Commission Reps –Jordan/Marlar/Hale Inc., Memphis, Tenn.

    The 87-year-old R. Williamson & Associates, a Berner rep since 1973, earned its "Presidential Gold--Commission Reps" with several high profile projects throughout its territory of Chicago, Northwest Indiana, Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. In its staple industrial category, Williamson sold many Industrial Belt Drive 16 (IBC16) air curtains with direct gas-fired heaters for a large Chicago automotive manufacturer’s shipping/receiving doors, while also opening many sales channels to various dock/door distributors and contractors. Going beyond industrial, Williamson outfitted several senior living facilities with air curtains throughout the greater Chicago area and Northwest Indiana. Williamson also sold air curtains to grocery retailers to promote longer produce shelf life by maintaining more consistent temperatures.

    "We can always count on them to produce; their year-to-year performance can be summed up in one word–consistency,” said Berner's National Sales Manager Michael Coscarelli, who presented the award.

    SRS Enterprises, which covers the New York City, Long Island and northern New Jersey territories for Berner, had a successful year with commercial retail, hotel and high end residential high rise building businesses in front-of-house and back end shipping/receiving door openings. Working with mechanical services company, ALED Technologies, New York, the 25-year-old SRS consulted on retrofitting 53 Howard St. (The Constable Building) with air curtains on front and back doors. SRS also worked with Mechanical contractor, Copper Services, Long Island City, N.Y., on outfitting the mixed use, six story, 200,000-square-foot 100 W. 125th St. Building in Harlem with air curtains. SRS also provided supermarket chain, Food Circus, with air curtains in several locations throughout New York and New Jersey.

    "SRS has an outstanding market presence which allows them to grow their sales with Berner intentionally,” said Stephen Benes, a Berner sales manager. “I don’t think you’ll find an agency who works any harder than SRS Enterprises.  They are responsive when following up on sales leads and are always looking for a way to promote Berner, which accounts for their success.”
