Senate Approves Coronavirus Relief Bill

The $2 trillion aid package provides payments to businesses, families, and health care systems, and other groups.

March 26, 2020Washington, DC— The U.S. Senate unanimously voted Wednesday evening to approve a $2 trillion relief package to provide emergency financial assistance to families, businesses, health care systems and myriad other organizations, as relief from shutdowns caused by the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.

The "Keeping American Workers Paid and Employed Act" includes funds for paycheck protection programs, payments to every US adult taxpayer, business development, state trade expansion programs, loan forgiveness, unemployment compensation and more.
