Sporlan Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, received two Innovation Awards at this year’s expo — for ZoomLock, a braze-free HVACR copper connecting concept in the Tools and Instruments Category; and ZoomLine, an innovative new refrigeration tubing, for the Cooling Category. The annual awards were given out Tuesday, January 26.
Sources report ZoomLock’s patented design is the ONLY press-to-connect technology that is approved for HVACR operating pressures up to 700 psi. This truly is a ground breaking technology for the HVACR industry aimed at increasing technician productivity. One technician can quickly do the connecting job alone, with no torch, no hot-work permits, no safety equipment and no special experience. In just minutes, ZoomLock provides a clean, leak-proof connection, and the fittings are more repeatable than brazed joints. By eliminating concerns about gas and flames, ZoomLock also gives you more flexibility in where and when you can work, plus there’s no need to nitrogen-purge the lines.
The 700 psig rated ZoomLine is a flexible tubing that replaces copper lines in refrigeration and air-conditioning applications. The light, flexible, and repeatedly bendable without work-hardening tubing is easy to install, vibration resistant, and provides vibration dampening. ZoomLine’s 6-layers includes the patent pending Flexible Aluminum Barrier for superior leak performance and is designed to withstand environmental, temperature and pressure extremes while providing excellent installation flexibility and long life. It eliminates most brazing operations and costly fitting/adapter usage and brazing leaks/rework with hard copper usage. Additionally, ZoomLine eliminates bending time and errors often associated with soft copper tubing.
"The AHR Expo Innovation Award is selected by industry experts. It is quite an accomplishment to be recognized by your peers as having released product they deem as truly innovative to our industry. This is a tremendous honor for the Sporlan Division of Parker," said Dave Thomas, Sporlan Division National Sales Manager.
