Daikin announced that their MXS 2-, 3- and 4-port multi-zone heat pumps have been redesigned to improve application flexibility and heating efficiencies. The MXS is popular for both residential and light commercial applications, providing individual comfort for up to four zones using a single outdoor condensing unit.
“The newly designed MXS ductless condensing products are just one example of Daikin’s continued technological advancement and development of HVACproducts for the continually evolving North American market,” stated John Clements, Director of Ductless Products. The new MXS line has a greater maximum connected capacity than previous models, allowing indoor units of higher capacity to be connected. Installers can now accommodate higher potential loads per zone, providing greater comfort while taking advantage of building diversity. With the redesign also comes an increase in heating efficiency over previous models, with a maximum efficiency of up to 12.5 HSPF. Cooling performance is rated up to 18.9 SEER.
The new MXS will be available beginning in April as current inventories of the previous 2-, 3- & 4-port units are depleted. The units will carry Daikin’s 12-year parts limited warranty*.
