RectorSeal Names Burgess Sales 'Rep of the Year'

The Burgess team developed a plan to make RectorSeal the HVACR contractors' 'one-stop shop' for minisplit acessories.

RectorSeal®, Houston, a leading manufacturer of quality HVACR tools and accessories, named manufacturer’s representative agency, Burgess Sales LLC, Madison, Miss., as “HVACR Rep of the Year–2017” at the 2018 International Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo), Jan. 22, in Chicago.

Also receiving an award was Wesley Congleton, representative for United Components, Coatesville, Pa., who received the “Top Sales Representative” in recognition of outstanding achievement in revenue growth and territory management.  H. W. “Russ” Tuttle III, president, Tuttco, Hilton Head, S.C., received the “Special Recognition for Lifetime Achievement” for working at a superb level of professionalism and leadership while representing RectorSeal the past 30 years. Ron McLaughlin, principal, Ron McLaughlin Associates, Largo, Fla., was presented the “Dennis Morgan Spirit of RectorSeal” award for exhibiting high integrity and contagious enthusiasm for RectorSeal’s employees and customers.

The 15-year-old Burgess Sales, which operates in the Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Western Tennessee territories, improved sales by developing programs for wholesale distributors that streamlined purchasing, inventory management and sales training for RectorSeal’s comprehensive product line of minisplit accessories, and making it a “one-stop shop,” according to Steve Burgess, co-partner and founder. Burgess’ top selling RectorSeal products in 2017 were Aspen® Pumps for minisplit condensate management, Fortress™ lineset covers and Safe-T-Switch® condensate controls.

“Steve Burgess and his team showed incredible diligence throughout the year, consistently presenting new RectorSeal products to contractors and distributors alike,” said Sean Holloway, HVACR national sales manager, RectorSeal. “They already had high market share, but showed an outstanding performance in increasing the whole size of the market for our accessory products–a truly noteworthy year in sales," Holloway said.
