Luvata ElectroFin announces that it will provide corrosion-proofing services at a second Florida facility to meet the growing demand for HVAC&R coil protection against corrosive coastal environments.
The newest facility in Pompano Beach, will offer INSITU, a spray applied, permanent, water-based, synthetic coating developed specifically for the protection of heat transfer coils and components. Pompano Beach is situated along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean just north of Fort Lauderdale.
The Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach metropolitan area is home to over 5.5 million residents, and is ideally situated to serve customers in South Florida as well as the Caribbean.
“Exposure to salt air in coastal regions is often detrimental to finned coils and now people are beginning to realize the cost of corrosion in terms of lifetime operating costs. Second only to full immersion, spray applied INSITU® is the most effective way to combat this type of corrosion,” says Ralph Rice, general manager, Luvata ElectroFin.
“The addition of a second Florida location demonstrates our commitment to better serve customers who recognize the benefit of spray-applied INSITU protection,” he says.
Well-equipped Facility
The new Pompano Beach facility is located 1.5 miles from I-95 and one mile from the Florida turnpike. The facility has an area of 19,050-sq.ft. for plant operations, with additional 2,400-sq.ft. of office space and 16,000-sq.ft. of secure outside storage. The building includes three grade level bay doors and two dock height doors for easy collection and delivery. Equipment installation and building modifications will begin immediately with production planned for May 1.
The Pompano Beach location joins Luvata ElectroFin’s five other spray-applied protecion locations, in Louisville, KY; Jacksonville, TX; Temecula and San Leandro, CA; and Tampa, FL. Luvata also recently announced expansion plans for its coil corrosion protection coatings near Monterrey, Mexico, targeting to be fully operational by the first quarter of 2013.
