Bruce Stimpson, co-founder, vice president, and chief information officer of building controls company Lynxspring, died on December 4. Stimpson died of a stroke at the Research Medical Center of Kansas City, MO. He was 51.

Lynxspring president/CEO Terry Swope issued the following statement on the Lynxspring website:We will miss his smile, jokes, hard work, direction and undeniable passion for Lynxspring.
In addition to his role as CIO, Bruce was a leader of our Website Design, Software Development, Training and Support teams. His dedication and commitment has been an integral part of our success and growth. Bruce was always the gracious host and never shied away from a challenge or adventure, always seeing the positive side of things.  He would put someone else’s needs ahead of his own, ensuring they were always comfortable.  He enjoyed scuba diving, was an avid biker who loved riding his Harley, and relished spending his weekends at his lake house at the Lake of the Ozarks where he enjoyed time on his pontoon boat. He liked Egyptian history and was an amazing photographer, especially of motorcycles where he contributed his work to Cycle Connections Online Motorcycle Magazine. He was the force behind our award winning barbeque team "Open Roadkill BBQ". Bruce was married to his childhood sweetheart Christy for 30 years, was a terrific father of two daughters Keri, with husband Blake and Amanda, with husband Johnny and an awesome grandfather of three. Each of us not only grieves at the passing of a tremendous individual but also for the loss his family suffers. We have lost a dear friend, a valued colleague and a great human being who will dearly be missed.
