David J. Chase, who served in executive roles at Lennox International for 40 years, died on the morning of January 13, 2021 at Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Tex., following a brief illness. Chase was 88.

Dave Chase had a 40-year career with Lennox International.  At the time of his retirement in 1994 he was Lennox's vice president of government and public relations.

Chase was a tireless advocate for the HVACR Industry and promoted the industry’s products and the contractor community at every opportunity. He chaired various committees including those with ARI/GAMA (AHRI) and worked with local, state and national political figures to assure they had an understanding of the importance of the Industry and the challenges faced.

Chase was a tireless advocate for the HVACR Industry and promoted the industry’s products and the contractor community at every opportunity

He helped launch the high efficiency gas furnace product segment with the introduction of Lennox’s Pulse gas furnace. On the community service side, Chase was very proud of the work done to create the Lennox/Quakerdale Annual Golf Tournament in Marshalltown, IA.  The tournament has been an annual event for 33 years and has raised funds to help disadvantaged children. He always enjoyed returning to play some golf and catch up with old friends

In retirement, Chase kept tabs on the industry he helped grow and stayed in touch with many friends over the years. Survivors include his wife Mary and four children, David Jr, Douglas, Laurie, and Christopher, who followed his father into the Industry and is currently with Research Products/Aprilaire.

David Chase will be warmly remembered and deeply missed. A private family service and burial is planned in Syracuse, NY.
