YORK Sun Pro Dual Fuel RTUs Combine Heat Pump Efficiency with Gas Reliability
YORK introduced the Sun Pro and Sun Choice Dual Fuel Rooftop Units (RTUs), combining heat pump efficiency with gas or propane furnace reliability for light commercial applications. These dual-fuel RTUs help building owners in colder climates lower utility costs while maintaining occupant comfort year-round.
When outdoor temperatures drop below a defined balance point, the units seamlessly transition to the furnace as the primary heating source. Embedded intelligence manages the fuel source automatically, allowing operators to prioritize comfort or efficiency based on operational goals.
