Hudson Technologies Re-Awarded $210M Defense Logistics Agency Contract
Why It Matters
- Refrigerant reclaiming remains a significant part of the HVACR market. Hudson Technologies’ re-awarded DLA contract highlights continued demand for refrigerant recovery and reclaim services.
- The contract reinforces the importance of refrigerant management. HVAC contractors can expect refrigerant recovery, reclamation, and responsible handling to remain important parts of industry operations.
- A $210 million federal contract signals sustained demand for refrigerant services. The five-year initial term provides a clear example of the long-term role refrigerant management can play across the HVACR supply chain.
WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey — Hudson Technologies has been re-awarded a $210 million Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
The Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey-based refrigerant services company announced Aug. 5 that the DLA notified it of the re-award. The initial contract term runs through Aug. 4, 2031, and includes a five-year option that could extend the agreement through July 31, 2036.
The contract was previously awarded to Hudson Technologies in October 2025. However, the DLA rescinded that award after an unsuccessful bidder filed a protest with the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in January 2026.
The protest challenged the DLA’s evaluation of proposals and the original contract award. The DLA subsequently evaluated the protest and conducted a re-bid process, which has now been completed.
Hudson Technologies is a provider of refrigerant products and services to the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry and is one of the nation’s largest refrigerant reclaimers.
"We are extremely pleased and proud to announce that Hudson has once again been awarded this contract," said Ken Gaglione, president and CEO of Hudson Technologies. "This re-award validates the competitive bid process and reflects Hudson’s past ten years of unparalleled support and reliable service to the DLA, and we look forward to continuing to demonstrate our unique ability to service the contract and their needs in the years ahead.”
