CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, and REDWOOD CITY, California — Quilt and Palmetto announced a new financing partnership designed to reduce upfront costs for residential heat pump installations.
The companies introduced the Palmetto Comfort Plan, which combines installation, maintenance, annual service, and extended warranty coverage into a single monthly payment for customers working with Quilt Certified Partners.
According to the companies, the financing option is intended to improve access to electric heating and cooling systems as homeowners face rising energy costs and increased interest in home electrification.
Quilt said its ductless, all-electric heat pump systems include room-by-room temperature control, occupancy detection, scheduling features, and app-based energy monitoring and remote control capabilities.
The company stated its systems are 20% more efficient than typical ductless heat pumps and up to four times more efficient than gas furnaces.
Quilt currently operates in 34 U.S. states, with the Palmetto Comfort Plan available in areas where both companies provide service.
"We designed Quilt to make electric heating and cooling simple, sleek, and genuinely efficient," said Paul Lambert, co-founder and CEO, Quilt. "But great products don't help if homeowners can't afford the switch. Partnering with Palmetto changes that. One monthly plan covers everything from installation to annual maintenance, so the decision to upgrade your home is finally an easy one. That's how you turn interest into action."
Palmetto Founder and CEO Chris Kemper said the program addresses affordability challenges that can slow heat pump adoption. "Heat pumps are one of the most impactful upgrades a homeowner can make, but affordability has been a challenge. By bundling installation, maintenance, and warranty into Quilt's monthly payment plan, we're making this proven technology accessible to American homeowners everywhere."
The companies said monthly payments for the program can start as low as $117 per room per month.
