PHOENIX — National Technical Institute (NTI) graduated 103 students from its Phoenix campus, including 37 HVAC technicians, marking the school's largest graduating class of 2026.
The July 10 ceremony recognized graduates earning certificates in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades. The class included 37 HVAC students, 37 electrical students, and 26 plumbing students. According to NTI, more than 20 graduates had secured employment before graduation.
Students completed accelerated training programs lasting 12 to 16 weeks and received classroom instruction alongside hands-on experience in professional lab environments designed to replicate field conditions. Training covered equipment maintenance, repairs, replacements, safety practices, and the use of industry-standard tools.
According to NTI, the graduates are entering a labor market where demand for skilled trades workers continues to outpace supply. Citing the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association's 2026 industry outlook, the school noted that employment of HVAC mechanics and installers is projected to grow 8% from 2024 to 2035, creating more than 40,000 job openings annually.
Jeff Kozloski, campus director of National Technical Institute Phoenix, said the graduates are prepared to begin careers as certified HVAC, plumbing, and electrical technicians, with employers actively hiring skilled workers.
NTI operates training programs in Phoenix, Houston, and Las Vegas and said its Career Services Advisors work directly with local employers to help graduates transition into the workforce.
